drumpad; Shen Chin's biocomputing
For those who don't know what is a drumpad or how it looks like, below is a picture of my drumpad:

It is sitting on my chair. That should give you an idea how big it is. I've been practicing on it last night and just now. Felt good playing on it. And I like my SD1 sticks. Train my arms... I reckon that's why the veins on my hands are getting increasingly obvious.
I was chatting to Shen Chin this afternoon on msn when he mentioned his biocomputing project. He said that it was 1000+ PAGES for 1 genre. I thought he meant 1000 words. No, he said, PAGES. I was shocked. He wanted to faint. I wanted to faint. Said his com almost hanged when he received the document. Curious, I accepted his offer to send me part of this project of his. It failed when sending through msn, so I received it in my gmail instead. For your info, it is 5.87MB in MS doc and had 1055 pages.
The following is only 2 sections of it. 2 pages and 2 lines. He says these are the nucleotide sequence of different genes. For each strand there are different combinations of ATGC.
I hope I got it right.
So I opened it only at night (just now) coz my computer decided to not cooperate with me in the afternoon. When I opened it I was grinning and laughing. See why:

I laughed because that afternoon I asked him if it's all words. He said yes. I expected, you know, words like those that I am typing. So when I opened the file I was very surprised, so much that I was grinning and laughing. I can't understand a single thing of this, but it looks interesting. No sarcasm here.
All those up there, 1055 pages of combinations.
That's what the director studies when he isn't directing a play. Are my friends good or are they good?

the drum pad looks so abstract.... but i guess if I show people my climbing equipment it will receive the same response....
