Chocolates - love?

Chocolates make one feel loved?

Blah, it makes me feel alone and want to love somebody.

Proud

I have great fellow percussionists.
Seniors, juniors and same age mates.

So proud of them. =)

S'pore : world's most globalised nation

Singapore is world's most globalised nation?

Wow, a big name for a small country, isn't it? Makes me wonder how they can remember to notice a "small red dot" with so many large and powerful countries around.
Hell, you can hardly see us on a satellite image of earth.

Education - freedom

I had no idea that when I stepped onto the road leading to university, I was bound to an unspoken contract to do what the country wants me to do : hold an office job and contribute to the economy.

Suddenly within that space of 5 seconds I felt as if I was robbed of my freedom. My dreams crumbled to nothing within 5 seconds.

It was as if the freedom was illusionary, and I had carried this illusion for 18 years. Then finally it disappears into thin air and I see reality.

I was bound from the beginning without realizing it. I was given wings and told to fly, and yet I had my wings clipped.

Allow the government to pay for your education and this is what you will get.

... ...

Hmm, the feeling is still there, but I can't remember what sentence triggered this thought and sudden realization.

SYF-music

SYF Central Band Judging 2005
Band 40, XMSB, Silver.

Some of them were crying because we have dropped from a gold down to a silver. My friends say that those who cry are those who are committed to the band. I agree somehow. I thought that those who cry are those who went through the last SYF and got a gold. Ah well, it doesn't matter anymore. I thought that a fall is a good thing. It gives the band something to work towards. More importantly is for them to enjoy playing with their bandmates.

I hate my job. Absolutely hate it. I need to take that first step. I want to do something related to music.
I don't want to spend the rest of my life in an office. Give me the strength to do what I want to do.

MRT in the mornings

Click-clack, click-clack,
heels on floor.
The rumble of the train, as it moves through tunnels,
and the swish of the opening doors.
More clickety-clack, clickety-clack,
beeps sound as the train doors close.

Rumble rumble rumble

The doors open and people step out,
heels on floor.
Clickety-clack, clickety-clack, clickety-clack.
The sounds echoes off the walls.
No one talks at all.

There is so much noise in the station,
and yet a silence covers all.

The Pope's death

The Pope, John Paul II, if I'm not wrong, passed away on 3rd april, sunday. How appropriate that he should die on a sunday. Amazingly, I do not know anything about him at all. In fact, I have never heard of him before in my 18 years. Shows how ill-read I am. But I've heard that he is a great man, so I hope that he goes to Heaven and be with the gods.

A person who has died and have people all over the world pray for him must have lived a fantastic and fulfilling life.
